We are proudly located in Lowell MI at 333 S Center St. 49331. When you come, you will be in a residential neighborhood, you are in the right place. Books can be dropped off in the book shed out front. We are a family business that operates the West Michigan Community Booksale event held in Lowell a couple times a year.
-
You fill out the Book Pickup Request form and we will contact you and set up a day and time to pick up the books.
-
This service is 100% free to you. Your books deserve a second life and we continue their story through our local book sales and other services.
-
Any box must be under 50lbs. The books should be in a box or a bag that is light enough for one person to carry by themselves. (We’re strong but we need our backs) We would like to ask you to FILL whatever box or bag you are using to the full rather than using 2 or more boxes just half full. This saves us space in our vehicle and better protects the books in transit. Please double bag paper sacks if possible.
-
Great question! There are many ways that the books get distributed, including both online and offline. Most books will stay right here in West Michigan and be used for our low cost community book sales, donated to schools and teachers, donated to local charities, donated to free little libraries or recycled. Some of the books will be sold to other bookstores or in our physical or online stores.
-
The timeline varies depending on our schedule. Once you fill out the request form we will contact you and set a date.
-
You can box or bag the books and have them ready on your porch or driveway. We will let you know the approximate time that we will arrive and then load them into our vehicle.
-
No, we are happy to pick up small or large quantities of books. After you fill in the form, we will contact you to determine the size of the pickup so we can plan our route accordingly.
-
No worries, we will still be coming. Please make sure the books are covered so they will stay dry or you can move them into a garage.
-
We are not a non-profit. We are a local family business that offers our free community pickup service to help you free up space in your home.
-
Because we are not a non-profit we can not give any tax deduction forms. If you need a tax form you may want to take your books to a registered 501(c)(3) organization. If a tax form isn’t needed, we can pick your books up for free.
